Tuesday's Tunes 8: Week of Mar 12

I'm so sorry to come to you like this today. I read over AllMusic's new release e-mail and am only seeing one thing worth highlighting (in my opinion), and I'm not even familiar with it.

The Fratellis -- Costello Music

I only just heard about The Fratellis; a friend told me about them on Friday. I don't watch a lot of TV on TV anymore, which provides a pretty good reason why I wasn't familiar with their track Flathead (the latest iPod anthem). Flathead is an overall good song, much like the rest of the album is reputed to be (I haven't listened yet), but, to be honest, I'm not expecting much depth or replay-ability out of these guys. They are, after all, an iPod rock band, much like Jet, Steriogram, The Caesars, and The Vines were. And how often do you still listen to those guys?

I'd like to highlight the post I made last night (or, technically, earlier today) in case you haven't read it yet. It really irks me when companies, faced with criticism, respond with a red herring and expect things not to get worse. I'm already preparing for Round 3.
