Tuesday's Tunes 10: Week of Mar 26

Today seems to be a day of laughable releases (I'm not even joking here). Please don't buy any of these unless you have a tween child. And even then, do you really want to subject them to the torture (not to mention completely pop-culture-dictated) musical taste that are the following albums?

I'm not trying to be biased here. I'm simply being the Michael Moore to the music industry's Republican government. (Wow, that probably came out a lot more political than I intended. I am, in fact, a moderate conservative. I do believe, however, that the American Republican party's use of propaganda and false promises is terrible, which is what I was trying to imply with the previous statement.)

Good Charlotte -- Good Morning Revival

Hahahahahahaha! HA! Ha. Ha? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Wow. After lyrics like "Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money", do they really expect us/me to take them seriously?

Macy Gray -- Big

Apparently, she has released two albums since her debut (and highly critically/commercially succesful) effort, neither of them have had much, if any, impact. Sorry, Macy, but until I hear something with the power and freshness of "I Try" again -- and yes, I really did like that song -- I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Kaiser Chiefs -- Yours Truly Angry Mob

Okay, I wasn't impressed with their debut, and AllMusic claims this to be "frustratingly mediocre". I claim this as enough evidence for my Nelson-Muntz-esque "HA HA" about this album.

Jennifer Lopez -- Como Ama Una Mujer

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Elton John -- Rocket Man: Number Ones

Apparently, this is the first single-disc "Greatest" collection of his for North America. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is close enough for me, and with the addition of Honky Chateau and (the first track from) Madman Across The Water, my collection is complete enough. Yours, however, may not be. If that's the case, do everyone a favour and pick this one up while shopping for your latest diamond-studded sports jerseys and fantastically flamboyant spectacles.
