I Went To The Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

Who says that the zoo is mainly a family attraction? I went to the Toronto Zoo today with a number of friends, and I had a fantastic day.

Seriously. The insane variety of the animals was amazing, the layout was expansive, but not so much that you dreaded walking from place to place, and the weather was -- albeit a tad cold -- very nice. We saw "Safari Simulators" (which I can only guess were wagons for parents to pull their kids around in), one of my friends started commenting on the "blue" favour apparent in her cotton candy, and a baby orangutan was posing for us:

But that wasn't even the best part. You see, as a child, I never really watched the Discovery Channel to actually witness what The Bloodhound Gang and Eminem sing about. Which is why today's sights have made such a lasting impression on me.

I wish I had a video (or at least a picture) of this, but I saw two Siberian Tigers about to get it on. Seriously. The guy mounted the girl, and just as my friend got her camera out, the girl showed her disinterest and knocked him off. So he walks away moaning while she rolls playfully and tiger-seductively on her back, and he ends up taking out his needs on a wooden pole. Following this, he goes to the other end of the area to sleep, and, a few minutes later, the girl gets up to sniff the pole, possibly checking out what she missed.

I'm glad he at least understood that "No Means No".
